Jul 13, 2026 — Complaint inspection

Fail

Triggered by a public complaint about this restaurant.

Live roach infestation with 100+ flies found throughout kitchen and basement prep areas.

Standout Inspection

We flagged this inspection for serious public health concerns.

Key Findings

  • Inspectors observed approximately 13 live roaches crawling in cracks and crevices throughout the front and basement prep areas, plus numerous dead roaches in cabinets, and approximately 100 or more live small flies flying around food prep zones. A pest control operator must service the premises by July 13, 2026.
  • Front handwashing sink was blocked by a tray of prepackaged desserts and contained spatulas inside, making it inaccessible. Staff toilet room sink has a slow drain that needs repair or replacement.
  • Gap at the bottom of street-side double doors is not tight-fitting and allows insect entry.
  • Basement storage area uses uncovered crates instead of proper shelving, and food contact surfaces on mixers, coolers, carts, and shelves have visible food debris buildup.

Key findings are derived directly from the inspector's notes from the Chicago Department of Public Health. See the full violation notes below.
