Jul 15, 2026 — Complaint inspection

Fail

Triggered by a public complaint about this restaurant.

Inspectors found approximately 50 live roaches and 40 live flies throughout the kitchen.

Standout Inspection

We flagged this inspection for serious public health concerns.

Key Findings

  • Approximately 50 live roaches observed crawling on coolers, grills, fryers, walls, heat lamps, and floors. Approximately 40 live small flies found on walls, ceilings, and in food storage areas. Pest control service required by July 15, 2026.
  • Dish machine sanitizing utensils at 110°F instead of required 180°F final rinse temperature. Unit has been tagged and held for inspection.
  • Two-door prep cooler was unplugged with temperature-sensitive foods stored at 61.3°F, well above the required 41°F or below. Approximately 42.5 pounds of food (guacamole, pico de gallo, lettuce, beans, empanadas, and raw fish) was discarded.
  • Front door sweep is broken, creating gaps that allow insect entry. Prep cooler lids missing handles and multi-use utensils not properly inverted on storage shelves. Bulk food containers lack required labels.

Key findings are derived directly from the inspector's notes from the Chicago Department of Public Health. See the full violation notes below.
