Oct 1, 2026 — Complaint re-inspection

Fail

A follow-up to confirm complaint-related violations were fixed.

Live rats and dozens of droppings found in food prep and dining areas; pest infestation persists after previous inspection.

Standout Inspection

We flagged this inspection for serious public health concerns.

Key Findings

  • Two live rats observed in the food preparation area with 50-100 droppings found on food containers, floors, cooking equipment, and throughout the facility.
  • Follow-up inspection on 10/1/26 still showed active rat activity and droppings under cooking equipment, plus 25-60 small black flies in prep and dish areas.
  • Previous violations from July 2026 remain uncorrected: damaged cutting boards with dark stains, heavy grease buildup on cooking equipment and walls, and food debris scattered throughout the facility.
  • Frozen chicken improperly stored in plastic thank-you bags instead of food-grade containers.

Key findings are derived directly from the inspector's notes from the Chicago Department of Public Health. See the full violation notes below.
