May 8, 2025 — Complaint inspection

Fail

Triggered by a public complaint about this restaurant.

Inspection found approximately 100 mouse droppings and 15 live flies throughout food prep areas.

Standout Inspection

We flagged this inspection for serious public health concerns.

Key Findings

  • Approximately 100 or more mouse droppings observed on floors and along wall bases in prep, dishwashing, sushi, and bar areas; approximately 15 live small flies found on upper walls and ceilings in prep and dishwashing areas.
  • Food stored directly on floor in walk-in cooler instead of on shelving; cooked foods held at improper temperatures including chicken at 45-46.4°F, egg rolls at 51.3-56.7°F, and breaded chicken at 97.9°F (must be 41°F or below); approximately 9 pounds of product discarded.
  • Hand sink in dishwashing area blocked by buckets and boxes; no hand soap or drying devices provided at hand sinks in main prep and dishwashing areas.
  • Gaps along bottom of garbage and rear doors need repair or replacement to prevent insect entry; employees observed eating in prep area without a designated eating space.

Key findings are derived directly from the inspector's notes from the Chicago Department of Public Health. See the full violation notes below.
