Fail

Triggered by a public complaint about this restaurant.

Prep cooler holding dangerous foods at 55°F instead of required 41°F or below; $310 worth of food discarded.

Key Findings

  • A 4-door prep cooler used for eggs, sausages, and cheeses was found at 55.3°F, well above the 41°F safety limit. All foods inside—including eggs at 49.5°F, sausages at 53-54°F, and multiple cheeses at 50-54°F—were improperly stored. The cooler was tagged and taken out of service until repaired and re-inspected.
  • Management voluntarily discarded approximately 22 pounds of food worth $310 due to improper temperature control.
  • Previous violations from November 10, 2025 remain uncorrected: a gap larger than 1/4" between the rear exterior door and frame, an ice machine condensate line discharging water away from the floor drain, and detached wall panels and base coving in storage areas.
  • A leaking faucet base was found at the 3-compartment sink in the rear dishwashing area.

Key findings are derived directly from the inspector's notes from the Chicago Department of Public Health. See the full violation notes below.
