Jun 10, 2026 — Complaint re-inspection

Conditional

A follow-up to confirm complaint-related violations were fixed.

No certified food safety manager on premises despite handling ready-to-eat foods like breakfast sandwiches and eggs.

Key Findings

  • A current City of Chicago food service sanitation certificate was not provided for employees. A certified manager must be on premises at all times when preparing, handling, or serving time-and-temperature-controlled foods like eggs and milk.
  • Packaged food items (cookies, scones, danishes, croissants) were not properly labeled with identity, net weight, ingredients, and maker information.
  • Ice bin interior and reach-in cooler interiors needed cleaning. Cooler gaskets were encrusted with food debris.
  • No proof of food handler training was available for all food handlers. Clutter stored in HVAC closet area posed pest harborage risk.

Key findings are derived directly from the inspector's notes from the Chicago Department of Public Health. See the full violation notes below.
