Black mold found throughout ice machine used for customer drinks; ice removed and deep cleaning ordered.

Key Findings

  • Black mold-like substance discovered throughout the interior panel above the ice in the lobby beverage dispenser's ice machine, plus additional black substance in the ice shield and dispenser nozzle. All ice was ordered removed and the machine cleaned and sanitized.
  • An oven thermometer was stored in the walk-in cooler and freezer instead of a proper refrigerator thermometer. Inspector ordered the correct thermometer provided.
  • The outdoor garbage receptacle lid has a hole in it. Owner was instructed to replace or repair the lid.
  • The walk-in cooler has no lighting inside. Adequate lighting must be installed.
