Sep 23, 2026 โ€” Complaint re-inspection

Fail

A follow-up to confirm complaint-related violations were fixed.

Serious pest infestation with 50+ flies, 8 roaches, and rodent droppings throughout basement and prep areas.

Standout Inspection

We flagged this inspection for serious public health concerns.

Key Findings

  • A previous pest control violation was never corrected: inspectors found over 50 live flies scattered throughout the dish room, prep area, and basement washroom, plus 8 live roaches in coolers and work areas, and 50 rodent droppings in the basement.
  • Tamarind sauce was stored in buckets previously used for hand soap; the contaminated food (20 pounds, $10 value) was discarded.
  • Hood ventilation filters have heavy buildup of dust and grease that could contaminate food being prepared.
  • Ice scoop was left laying on food items in the basement, and utensils and cookware were stored uncovered on shelves where dust could accumulate.

Key findings are derived directly from the inspector's notes from the Chicago Department of Public Health. See the full violation notes below.
