Fail

Triggered by a public complaint about this restaurant.

Cooler holding pasta and butter at dangerous temperatures; about 9 pounds of food discarded.

Standout Inspection

We flagged this inspection for serious public health concerns.

Key Findings

  • A prep-line cooler on the second floor was measured at 50°F instead of the required 41°F or below, forcing staff to discard gluten pasta and truffle butter. The unit was tagged and the facility cannot use it until temperature issues are fixed.
  • Hand sinks across multiple areas lacked soap and paper towels, including raw meat stations, dish areas, and bread stations. Manager restocked supplies during inspection.
  • Ice machines in the housekeeping area and first-floor kitchen contained black slime buildup and need cleaning and sanitizing.
  • Different species of shellfish were stored together in the seafood display case with different certification numbers and harvest dates. Manager separated them during inspection.

Key findings are derived directly from the inspector's notes from the Chicago Department of Public Health. See the full violation notes below.
