Key Findings

  • Approximately 40 rat droppings found on floors under wooden palettes where produce and fruit are displayed, and about 25 rat droppings in the liquor storage area. Pest control service is needed.
  • Automatic slide doors on the third floor have a large gap and don't close completely, allowing pest entry.
  • Milk crates are being used as shelving in the rear stock area instead of proper shelving elevated 6 inches off the floor.
  • Food debris, spills, old and bitten produce, and dirt buildup observed on floors and surfaces throughout the produce area and under shelving units.

OBSERVED EVIDENCE OF RODENT ACTIVITY ON THE PREMISES. OBSERVED APPROXIMATELY 40 RAT DROPPINGS ON THE FLOOR UNDERNEATHT SERVAL WOODEN PALETTES PRODUCE AND FRUITS IS DISPLAYED ON. ALSO OBSERVED APPROXIMATELY 25 RAT DROPPINGS IN THE FAR-RIGHT CORNER OF THE LIQUOR CABINET THATS LOCATED IN THE REAR STOCK ROOM NEXT TO THE REAR EXIT DOOR OF THE STORAGE AREA. MANAGEMENT INSTRUCTED TO CLEAN AND REMOVE ALL RODENT DROPPINGS FROM ALL AFFECTED AREAS. ADDITIONAL PEST CONTROL SERVICE IS NEEDED TO ELIMINATE THE PEST ACTIVITY. PRIORITY FOUNDATION #7-38-020(A). CITATION ISSUED.
